Gordon Ian Mayo
Suddenly, on Monday, October 23rd, 2017. Gordon Ian Mayo, passed away at his residence in Selkirk, MB, at the age of 58.
Gordon is survived by his mother Irene; children Janelle and Tyler (Kallie and Baylee), Melissa (Sequoia and Zyrah), Ryan and Megan (Kasten). He is also survived brothers and sisters Bruce (Gale), Andrew (Rosemary), Corinne (Lance), Edwin, Lila (James), Patrick (Judy), Bettyann (Mike), Alma (David) and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Gordon was predeceased by his father Bruce Mayo Sr.; sister Inez Mayo and grandmother Flora Ann Mayo and special auntie Cassie Mayo.
Gordie was born on May 27, 1959. Gord was employed at Mediacom for many years until he got injured. He liked to go fishing with his nephews, Kyle and Kevin Mayo and his son Ryan. He loved camping down at Selkirk Park every year, enjoying the outdoors with family and friends and grandchildren. When Gord was younger he enjoyed playing hockey, baseball and hanging out with lots of his friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Anthon Bouw officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers Bruce, Andrew, Edwin, Patrick and his nephews Kevin, Kyle, Mitchell, Davey, Jason and his son Ryan.
In lieu of flowers friends who so desire may make donations in memory of Gordon to a charity of your choice.
