I, Gloria (Jeffries) Knowles, met “death with dignity” on June 30, 2017, at the age of 73 years young. My parents Laurette and Maurice Leclerc, as well as my precious grandson Pheonix Knowles preceded me on this beautiful day. I leave behind my loving, caring and amazing husband of 47 years Edgar Knowles. I also leave behind my two beautiful and precious daughters Amanda Marchand and Stephanie Killins (Rick) of Timmins. Most importantly, I leave behind the four joys of my life, my grandchildren Aliyah Marchand, Brayden, Kolton and Teagan Killins. I also leave behind my two siblings Rena Peddle (Harold) from North Bay and Bert Jeffries (Margaret) from Halifax. I had the blessing of pursuing an amazing career as a nurse at St. Mary’s General Hospital and Timmins and District Hospital for Forty years. I was born and raised in Cobalt, ON. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my family for holding my hand during this very emotional and challenging procedure. My love for all of you will go on for eternity. I would also like to thank all of my caregivers from CCAC for your endless help and support, especially “Turkey”. I would also like to thank my favorite doctor and friend Dr. Nick Kanya-Forstner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 11 am in the funeral home Chapel. Afterwards, I would like everyone to join together for a celebration of my life at the Lessard-Stephens Reception Centre for music and a luncheon. The family will receive friends on Saturday July 8 from 10 am – 11 am at the
Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home
