1951 – 2016 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Glen Luke Hickey at his residence in Bathurst, on Monday May 16, 2016 at the age of 64. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Gabriel Joseph Hickey and the late Gertrude Vivian (Lapointe) Hickey. He is survived by his children: Lynn Delabays (Eugene) of Montreal, Jason (Susie Lagace) and Melanie Hickey (Grant) both of Bathurst, Remi (Mila) of Quebec, Andre (Mylene) of Moncton, Luke (Anne Marie Scalabrini) of Ottawa. Grandchildren: Camille, Enya, Tristan, Mica, Grace, Madison, Jessie and Nicholas. Six brothers: Fenton (Carmel), Granvel, Wayne (Anita), Kevin (Jackie), Darcy (Anna) and Mark (Lisa). Six sisters: Wendy Harmer (Mike), Myra Egan (Francois), Gale Seifert (Nick), Darlene Hickey (Jim Squires), Stephanie Talbot (Michael) and Stacy Hickey-Buraglia (Jean-Jacques). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Lyman in 1948. Glen worked in sales for most of his life, mainly at Wilmont Hatheway Ltd. and CKBC. Glen enjoyed and was involved in various sports, bowling, softball and hockey, both as a participant and coach. He loved to play cards, especially auction and cribbage. In his youth Glen was a Boy Scout and Altar Boy. In adulthood he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Second Degree, Council # 1203. He volunteered at The Cancer Society, the food bank and was a regular reader at HolyFamilyChurch. Donations in memory of Glen, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundations or a charity of your choice. The body will rest at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday, May 20, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. from the Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.
