Gerard Joseph Arsenault
1929-2017
The death occurred at
O’Leary Community Hospital, on Monday, August 21, 2017, of
Gerard Joseph Arsenault, of Tignish Seniors Home, aged 88 years. Born in St. Roch, he was the
son of the late Fidele &
Margaret (Buote) Arsenault.
Survived by his sons Eric
(Bev), of Indian River, and Wayne (Rhonda), of
Cascumpec;
grandchildren, Ryan, Randy, Rodney, Emily (Bridges), Troy, and
Alexis; step-grandchildren Tyler, Kyle, and Brittany
Ellsworth Also survived by several
great-grandchildren, his sister, Mae Gallant, and his
sister-in-law, Marilyn Arsenault.
Predeceased by his parents, his wife Janet, his
daughter Gloria, his daughter-in-law Anne, his brother Raymond and his
sisters Irene, Rita, Edna, and Josephine, as well as his companion, Tephi
Pepe, and his
best friend, Les Wagner.
Gerard
enjoyed 30
years of retirement after working 39 years at Hayes Dana, in St.
Catharines, Ontario. He loved to play cards and
attend the horse races. He returned to PEI most summers to spend time
with his extended family, and moved back in June 2016 to be closer to
his sons.
At Gerard’s
request, no services will be held.
