Obituary for Georgette Surette
Surette, Georgette Angele 93, Villa St. Joseph du Lac, Yarmouth went to be with her Lord and savior Monday, November 6, 2017. Born April 18, 1924 in Amirault’s Hill she was the daughter of the late Apollinaire and Hermine (Leblanc) Bourque. Georgette was a loving mother, a member of St Ambrose Cathedral and a faithful prayer warrior. She was formerly employed at the Lake Lawn Motel. She is survived by her son Glendon (Linda Anderson), Halifax and numerous nieces and nephews. As the last surviving member of her immediate family she was predeceased by her husband Leo Joseph Surette; Brothers Simon Paul, Ambrose; sisters Virgina and Cecile. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm and prayers at 8 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11 am from the St Ambrose Co Cathedral, Yarmouth. Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment to follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
