Obituary
George Joseph Fleury, 72, passed away on April 18, 2017, at his home in Leduc County, Alberta. He was born October 28, 1944, in North Cobalt, Ontario, to Louis and Régina (Chénier) Fleury.
George grew up in Ontario. He began work at Public Works Canada in 1964 as a Marine Engineer and retired after 35 years of service in 1999.
George married Céline in 1969 in Ottawa, Ontario. They were happily married for 48 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry.
George is survived by his spouse, Céline; his daughters, Christine (John) Melo, Isabelle (Mario) Fleury-Haché and son, Éric (Nicole) Fleury; his sisters, Marie Thérèse Fleury and Rita Fleury of North Cobalt, Ontario and his brother Paul Fleury of Yellowknife, NT; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Samuel, Justin, Gabrielle, Miguel, Sylvie, Amelie and another grandchild within the month.
A Viewing will be held at St. Vital Catholic Church, 4905 50 St. Beaumont, Alberta at 9:00 a.m. April 29, 2017. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. The family will be greeting friends and relatives in the church hall after the service.
