Surrounded by
loving family and friends, RCMP Staff Sergeant (Ret.) George Bernard
MacDonald, late of Charlottetown, passed away after a long illness on
Wednesday June 14, 2017, age eighty years.
Beloved
husband of the late Janet Alice MacDonald (nee Dugal). Devoted father
of Michael, Shawn, and Jude (Laura), and father-in-law to Carolyn.
Loving grandfather of Gillian, Liam, Sam, and Sophie. Survived by his
sister June, and predeceased by his brothers Al and Joe and his sister
Shirley. Missed by a large and loving extended family, many friends,
and his RCMP P-Troop mates and their spouses. At the request of the
family, there will be no wake or funeral service. There will be a
small memorial and internment at a future
date.
In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer Society of
PEI. The family would also like to express thanks to Andrews Lodge of
Charlottetown and the Garden Home for all of their kindness and
support.
