Garth passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 68 years. Garth was born July 28, 1948 and was the second of three boys. He was predeceased by his wife Maxine (2006); parents Allan (1982) and Orma (2003); and brother Bob (2001). Garth will be lovingly remembered by his children Kimberly and Jaret both of Regina; brother Keith in China; and sister-in-law Shirley and family in Calgary. Garth attended school in Chamberlain and Peacock Collegiate in Moose Jaw. He worked for Saskatchewan Department of Highways from 1967 until his retirement in 2011. Garth was a hard worker and a loving husband and dad. The family wish to thank Dr. Chalchal, the staff of Palliative Care Unit, Wascana Grace Hospice and Allan Blair Cancer Centre staff for the wonderful care shown to Garth. A COME AND GO RECEPTION will be held at Regina Funeral Home, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Garth may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
