Frederick Fred Kennedy – 2016

Frederick « Fred » M. Kennedy Frederick « Fred » M. Kennedy, 86, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Broadway St., Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, August 8, 2016. Born in Rattling Brook, NL, he was the son of the late James and Selena (Jones) Kennedy. Fred was a retired Service Design Officer at CN with 35 years’ service. He was a member of Mountain View United Church, former member of Humphrey Memorial Church and member of the CN Pensioners Association. In past years, he enjoyed golfing, curling, reading, woodworking, watching baseball (Toronto Blue Jays) and socializing with his family and friends. Fred will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Hilda (Teed) Kennedy of Moncton; children, Lynne Wells (Larry) of Moncton, Terry Lee Kennedy (Line) of Moncton and Glenn Kennedy (Lisa) of Oromocto; precious grandchildren, Melanie, Melissa, Jessica, Jennifer, Kris and Lori; cherished great granddaughter, Josephine; sister, Eileen LeBlanc (Henri) of Sackville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Harvey, Rex, George and Jim and sister, Marie. A Service to celebrate Fred’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1:30 pm with Rev. David Eagles and Rev. Danny Compton officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. In memory of Fred, donations to Mountain View United Church, NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
