Freda Ravn
1943-2016
It is with sadness that the family of Lois Freda Ravn, wife
of Carl Ravn, of Midland, NB, announces her death which occurred at
the Saint John Regional Hospital, on November 12, 2016. She was born
on May 14, 1943 in Maple Creek, SK, a daughter of the late Joseph and
Pearl (Othen) Redmond.
Freda is survived by her loving husband Carl Ravn of 52
years; children: Janet (Bruce) Cripps of Ratter Corner, NB, Trevor
Ravn (Connie Green) of Springfield, NB, and Kevin (Annette) Ravn of
Norton, NB; grandchildren: Kristin (Trevor) Mason, Ashley Munro,
Chasity Stevens (Tim), Jenna Ravn (Allan), Bailey Ravn, Jessica Ravn
(Brad), Christopher Ravn (Eugenia) and Brett Kincade; great
grandchildren: Meadow Mason, Owen Mason, Olivia Mason, Kyle Walker,
Maddy Barkhouse, Hailey Sullivan, Jaxon Leaman, and Noah Leaman;
sister Kay (Paul) Garnett; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Freda was predeceased by her brother Gerald
Redmond; sisters Sheila Reid and Audrey Knight; and infant sister
Bethel Redmond.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road,
Norton, NB, where visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm,
on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. The funeral service will be held on
Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at 2:00 pm from Midland Baptist Church,
Midland, NB conducted by Rev. Alden Craine. Interment will take place
at Midland Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr.
Andreani, and to all the staff and nurses on the ICU and 4CN at the
Saint John Regional Hospital for all their care and compassion towards
Freda. Thanks also to Jen McLaughlin for her kindness given to Freda
and her family during this difficult time.
