Frances Sharpe Humphrey 1924-2016 Peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, Frances Humphrey passed away on Wednesday July 13, 2016 in her 91st year. She passed, just shy of her 66th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Fred. Born in Lachine, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late James Fleeting and Janet (Fairley) Fleeting. She was a member of the Morning Gate Church, Fredericton, NB After marrying Frederick Humphrey, she has lived inTémiscaming, Quebec; Hawkesbury, Ontario; Greenwich, Connecticut and Fredericton, NB. She raised her daughters and did varied amounts of volunteering in her communities. These include contribution to the Ladies Auxiliary for the First Congregation Church in Old Greenwich, CT, and worked tirelessly for the Rummage Room, a donation center run by the church. She also worked for the Local Red Cross as a volunteer driver and for the Greenwich Hospital Auxiliary as a transporter for the patients. Other activities she enjoyed were baking and cooking, quilting and playing bridge. Frances is survived by her loving husband Frederick of 66 years; daughter Carol Humphrey of Scarborough, Maine and daughter Allison Hubbard (Michael) of Fredericton, NB; grandson Kyle Hubbard and granddaughter Elsie Hubbard. No visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton, NB on Saturday July 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Deborah MacDonald officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Rather than flowers, contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
