COOPER, Florence Edith (nee Jensen)
Florence was born December 1,1935 in Piapot, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully on May 7,2017 at the age of 81.
Florence was predeceased by the love of her life and best friend, husband Pete in 1994; her parents Magnus and May Jensen and numerous family members.
Left to remember her are her children, Dianne and Bill.
Throughout her life Florence enjoyed long drives, family gatherings, dancing, cooking (her fried chicken was legendary), gardening, cheering Bill on while he was playing Husky Football; and the fine art of “puttering” which she lovingly passed on to her children. Nothing pleased her more than to sit on the patio with Pete and watch the sun go down.
Florence lived at the Touchmark Retirement Community for several years. The family would like to thank Touchmark staff for the outstanding care and exceptional compassion displayed.
The family is sincerely grateful to the wonderful staff on 5 West at the Misericordia Hospital for their care and support during Florence’s last week.
As no service will be held, please take a moment to remember a time when you shared a laugh, a hug or a special moment with Florence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
