Faye Comeau – 2017

Comeau, Faye Joan Elaine – age 82 of Dartmouth passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital on Friday, February 3, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. Faye was the daughter of the late Daniel and Nellie (Oickle) Ernst and was born in Blockhouse on April 2, 1934. She attended the Bridgewater School of Nursing and worked as an EKG technician at the IWK Health Centre and Camp Hill Veterans Memorial, QE II from where she retired. Faye is survived by her loving partner, Edward Fry; daughter, Judy Comeau (Pierre); granddaughter, Tracey Comeau (Sylvio); grandson, Sheldon Comeau (Simone); great granddaughter, Lauren Perry whom Faye loved dearly; sister, Joyce Lord; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Dwayne Perry and Sylvia Jollymore. Faye had a special love and bond with the two boys in her life Dante and Dimitri Kennedy. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Comeau; sisters, Etiole Gaudet and Patricia Swyer; and Daisy Ernst whom Faye loved as a mother. Faye enjoyed making ceramics, gardening and square dancing. She had a lifelong interest and concern for children. Faye enjoyed animals and had four special canine friends, Snoopy, Dusty, Bubba and Holly. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday, February 6 with a funeral service 10am Tuesday, February 7 followed by a reception all in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Burial in Old Blockhouse Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Hope for Wildlife, Dartmouth SPCA or a charity of choice.
