Fay Bettison, age 65 of Swift Current SK, passed away August 5, 2016, at home with her family at her side. The Memorial Service was held at 11:00 a.m., August 12, 2016, from St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. The organist was Arlie Neufeldt, the eulogist was Tammy Schwartz and the ushers were Duane Johnston, Bob Jorgensen and Lance Jorgensen. The Interment Service was held at Pambrun SK. The Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in her life. Fay is survived by her children, Tammy Schwartz (Clay, Nikki, Jessie), Todd Bettison (Vicki, Kahne, Michael); sister, Mabel Brick and family; brother, Glen Bell (Beulah); nephews, Joe and Fred Fayant; nieces, Janet and Jean Fayant; and sister-in-law, Dawn Grisdale and family. Fay was predeceased by her husband, Gary Bettison; mother, Elizabeth Laidlaw and her husband, George Laidlaw; father, Stewart Bell; sister, Elsie Fayant; and father-in-law, William Bettison. Fay was born June 12, 1951, in Swift Current SK. She attended school at Braddock and Wymark. She married Gary Bettison on October 12, 1968, in Pambrun SK. Fay was employed at Wal-Mart as a fashion processor, and was previously employed at the Vanguard Co-op, Vanguard Hotel, Vanguard Abattoir and the family farm. Fay’s interests included reading, Suduko, her grandkid’s activites, curling and volunteering at the S.P.C.A. The family would like to thank all those who touched her life.
