Evelyn Daigle
1932-2017
REXTON, NB – Evelyn
Daigle, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the
Rexton Lions Nursing Home on Wednesday, November
1st, 2017. Born in Kouchibouguac,
she was the daughter of the late Auguste and Exilda (Johnson) Daigle.
Evelyn was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or and the
Ladies Auxiliary Branch #30, Richibucto. She enjoyed gardening and
loved spending time at her
cottage.
Evelyn will be sadly missed by her three daughters,
Agnes Daigle of Richibucto, Pauline Drysdale (Fred) of Moncton and
Anne Daigle of Aldouane; four sons, Richard (Janice) of St-Charles,
Victor (Denise) of Moncton, Louis (Gloria) of St-Charles, Marcel
(Jessica) of Moncton; 10 grandchildren; and five great
grandchildren.
Evelyn also leaves to mourn four sisters, Bertha
Robichaud (late Keith) of Saint-John, Eva Zelward (Art) of Saint-John,
Alice Brooks (late Everett) of Dipper Harbour and Jean Donovan (Jimmy)
of Saint-John; four brothers, Leo (Lil), Roy (late Nora), John (Lina)
and Fred (Emma), all of Kouchibouguac; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, Evelyn is predeceased by her
husband Jacques Daigle; her son, Cleo; two sisters, Louise MacDonald
and Della Daigle; and two brothers, Alyre and
Edgar.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s
Funeral Home, Richibucto on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Saturday
from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at 11:00am, St.
Louis-de-Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. In lieu of
flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory made to the Alzheimer
Society would be appreciated by the
family.
