Peacefully at Sault Area Hospital, with her family by her side, on Sunday, August 20, 2017, in her 94th year. Widow of the late Walter Nicholson. Loving mother of Donna Long (Jackie) of Cambridge, Sheila Jones of Sault Ste. Marie and special aunt of Bob Nicholson (Darlene) of Iron Bridge. Dear Grandmother of Kevin Long (Daphne) of Stevensville, Chantelle Horton (Tavis) of Troy, MI, Shelley Pearce (Dan Chelsom) of Sault Ste. Marie. Special Great grandmother of Nicholas and Madison Long of Stevensville, Noah and Brett Pearce of Sault Ste. Marie, Julia and Cassidy Horton of Troy, MI. Sister of the late Bill Walker, late Della Tulloch, late Calvert Walker, late Gwen Hicks, late Ab Walker, late Ray Walker (Pat), late Jim Walker (Elva). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents George and Ella Walker. Resting at Iron Bridge United Church, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 10a.m. to 12:00p.m., service at 12:00p with Tim McDougall officiating. Interment in Spruce Grove Cemetery, Iron Bridge. In lieu of flowers, donations to Light Haven Christian Retirement Home in Bruce Mines or the Lion’s Club of Iron Bridge would be appreciated.
