At Grey Gables Nursing Home on Saturday, June 17, 2017 formerly of Collingwood, in her 92nd year. Ethel is reunited with the love of her life Leonard Earl who passed in 1997. Loving mother of Les of Collingwood and the late Art(2015). Loved and remembered by grandchildren Tanya(Jason) Petch of Markdale, and Daryl Fry of North Bay. Deeply missed by great grandchildren Alexa, Daven, Sydney and Mitchell. Predeceased by siblings Art Hayley and Jean Hendrickson. Lovingly remembered by Linda Lupton.
Ethel will always be remembered for her love of cooking and taking care of others, often making 4 meals/day and always having bedtime snacks ready. After her family had grown, she volunteered at Sunset Manor for 12 years, and received a Volunteer of the Year plaque. She loved living by the water, having owned a cottage with husband Leonard on Eugenia Lake; water skiing to pass the time.
Funeral Service from Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception(1 Highland Dr. Flesherton) Chapel on Tuesday, June 20 at 11am. Interment Maxwell Cemetery. Reception to follow.
