It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Erminia Vecchio on July 30, 2016 at the age of 89 years. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be forever missed by her four children, Ralph, Louie, Anna Maria and Linda (Marius); five grandchildren, Crystal and her family, Shannon and her family, Christopher, Stefano and Andrei. Four siblings, Rosaria, Guerino, Alfredo and Carmela, along with their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Saverio in 1990; granddaughter, Lisa May in 1979; and siblings, Almerinda Caputo in 2014 and Maria Maio in 2010. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Capital Care Norwood Palliative Unit for the exceptional, compassionate care. Prayer Service Friday, August 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, August 6 at 9:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church. Reverend George Puramadathil CFIC officiating with interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
