On September 4, 2016, Mr. Emil Chirka of Edmonton passed away at the age of 89 years.
Emil was one of fourteen children born to William and Nancy Chirka in the farming community of Waugh, AB.
Emil is survived by his wife, Olga; children, Emilie Saban, Rosalyn (Jim) Sanford, Mario (Heather) Chirka and Robin (Dave) Bury; six grandchildren, Kristie, Amber, Daniel, Marina, Leah and Craig; and nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by son-in-law, Joe Saban; and great-grandson, Trevor.
A special thank you to all of the staff at the Venta Care Centre.
A Private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Northern Lights Cemetery.
