Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Emelia Rakochey (nee Giesinger) announces her passing after a brief illness, on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the age of 81 years.
Emmy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Ernie; her children, Daryl (Michele), Rob (Launie), Trish (Doug) and Deb (Geoff); her eight grandchildren, Aaron, Matthew, Tanner, Rory, Carter, Jerome, Brayden and Kurtis; her sister, Betty-Ann (Max), her brother Peter (Jean) and her sister-in-law Carol (Andy). Emmy was predeceased by her brother John and her son John. Emmy will also be forever remembered by her many other family members and dear friends.
A Funeral Mass in memory of Emmy will be held on Friday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m., at Resurrection Church, 10555 – 50A Street NW, Edmonton, with Fr Mitchell Fidyka officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB, T6G 9Z9.
