Elsie Kerr (Sheremeta) Peacefully on September 20th, 2015 at Hillsdale Terraces, Oshawa in her 83rd year. Elsie was an amazing spirit who lived a busy and energetic life, touching many lives in the process. She was a dedicated nurse, mother and world-traveller — predeceased by sons Rob and Bill Affleck and husband Howard Kerr. Cherished sister of Mary (Jack) Rudniski. Lovingly remembered by family and friends, stepsons Stephen (Alise), Matt (Christine) and Andy (Kitty) Kerr, grandson Robbie Affleck, and step-grandchildren Alexander (Jessica), Heather, Meghan and Michael Kerr. Special thanks to Gene and Karen Mroz for all of their love and care, and to the staff at Hillsdale Terrace and Centennial Residence. On Saturday, September 26th, 2015, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby, Ontario. Visitation will begin at 10 am with service, interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada will be gratefully accepted.
