Elmer LeBlanc - 2016

Elmer LeBlanc, 81
Alder Point
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our brother, Elmer LeBlanc, 81, on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at the Northside General Hospital. Born in Alder Point on January 12, 1935, he was the son of the late Elias and Catherine (Devoe) LeBlanc. He was a member of St. Anne’s Parish, and for the last number of years was also a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Sydney, where he resided with his loving companion Annie Vigneault.
He was known for his love of music, especially for his mandolin and guitar.
Left to mourn his loss are his sisters Evelyn Thurbide (Charles), and Goldie (Gerald) Bonnar, his brother George (Annie) LeBlanc, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Elmer was predeceased by his sisters Beatrice, Grace, Bertha, Violet, Olive, Ninette and Shirley, and brothers Benny, Irvin and Leslie.
His family would like to thank his next door neighbour for always being there when needed. Thank you also to Dr. Andrew Wawer for always taking great care of Elmer.
As per Elmer’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. Tea to follow in the Alder Point Hall. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
