1930-2017
OSSINGER: ELLA ROSE (FRANKLAND) 1930-2017
Mrs. Ella Ossinger, formally of White Head Island, NB, passed
away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home on Saturday, December 9,
2017. Born in St. Stephen, NB she was the daughter of the
late Floyd and Violet (Garron-Chaney) Frankland.
Ella worked at the White Head Post Office for fifteen
years. She was a member of the White Head Baptist Church,
the young people’s group and the mission treasurer for many
years.
Ella is survived by her daughter Norah (Rodney) Trecartin of
White Head Island, two sons, Brennan (Shirley) Ossinger of White Head
Island, and Randolph (Wendy) Ossinger of Lowden, Tennessee, one sister
Gertrude Carroll of Bangor, Maine, eight grandchildren,
sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson and many nieces
and nephews.
Ella’s family will receive visitors in her home, 52
Long Point Road, White Head Island, on Monday December 11, 2017 from
7-9 PM.
Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, from
the White Head Baptist Church at 2:15 PM.
Donation can be made in memory of Ella to the White Head
Cemetery, the White Head Church Missions or to the donor’s
choice.
