The death occurred at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home,
O’Leary on Thursday, January 12, 2017 of Eldon Melvin Ramsay
of Campbellton aged 71, loving partner to Elaine Gallant. Born in
O’Leary on April 14, 1945, son of the late Fred and Cora
(Costain) Ramsay.
Dear father to Shirley (Michael) Rice, Cardigan North and
Wayne (Cheryl Blackett), Cardigan North. Loving grandfather to
Melissa, Curtis, Danielle and Morganne Rice, and Sage
Ramsay.
Dear brother to Lana (Theo) Dumville, Dunblane; Robert
(Delores), Bloomfield; Zelma (Vincent) Jones, Quispamsis, NB; Ralph
(Patricia), Campbellton; Linda (Allan) Wallace, Coleman; Arlene
(Wilbert) Thibodeau, Bloomfield; Edgar (Stephanie), Campbellton; Brent
(Helen), Mill Road. Brother in law to Brian (Verna) MacDonald,
Cornwall; Theresa MacDonald (Charlie Stewart), Travellers Rest; Urban
(Debbie) Gallant, Kensington; Marge Gallant, Charlottetown; John
(Sheila) Gallant, Howlan; Gerarda (Blair) MacDonald, Stratford; Ellen
(Jim) Foster, Union Road.
Predeceased by his parents and sister Sybil.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visiting hours Friday 6-8 pm. and on Saturday
from 12-1p.m. then to St Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church,
Woodstock for funeral Mass at 1:30 pm. Interment at a later date in
the Parish Cemetery.
In memory of Eldon, memorials to O’Leary Community Health
Foundation (Margaret Stewart Ellis Home) or St. Anthony’s Church
Restorative Fund would be appreciated.
