Eileen Phillips – 1942-2016

M. Eileen Phillips 1942-2016 Eileen Phillips of Harvey Station, NB passed away peacefully on July 28, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born at Harvey Station, NB in 1942, a daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Boucher) Barrieau. She is survived by her husband, Richard Phillips; two daughters, Helen Abbey (Simon), Petawawa, ON and Tammy Coburn (Ross), Harvey, NB; five grandchildren, Julian, Bronwyn and Elijah Abbey, Bradley and Alex Coburn; a brother, Edgar Barrieau (Dorothy), Fredericton, NB; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins; her two cats, Boy and Bootie and two dogs, Timber and Ace. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Edmund Barrieau. Visitation was held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 2248 Route 645, Cork, NB on Monday, August 1, 2016. with Father Godwin Kalu and Father John Jennings officiating. Scripture was read by Bonnie Mazerolle and the Prayers of the Faithful by Chris Northrup. A eulogy was delivered by Eileen’s friend, Ruth Collicott and grandchildren Bronwyn, Bradley and Alex read a poem. The alter servers were Colford and Merlin Lyons. Music was provided by Carol Gillett. Interment took place at Cork Cemetery. A reception followed at the Harvey Lions Club. Pallbearers were Ross Coburn, Bradley Coburn, Michael Barrieau, Timmy Barrieau, Terry Barrieau and Eddie Boucher. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Eileen, the family has suggested the SPCA or the Cork Cemetery.
