It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eileen
Louise Powell announce her passing on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at
the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of
90 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her
children: Linda (Frank), Jim (Noreen), Diane (Bob), David (Penney) and
Marilyn (Clarence). 8 grandchildren: Robert, Leslie, John, Thomas,
Sean, Marie, Steven and Ashley; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by
her husband James, parents Newman and Alice Gough, brother Dr. James
Gough. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral
Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Sunday from 2-4 &
7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19 at
3:00 PM from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s
Avenue with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at a
later date. As expressions of sympathy, family flowers only, donations
may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family guest
