Obituary for Edna Kathleen Golden (Wells)
GOLDEN, Edna Kathleen (nee Wells) – Peacefully at Douglas Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 15, 2017 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Cecil Golden for 69 years. Beloved mother of Betty Belzner, Terry Shirkie (Bernie), Gary Golden, Sandra Golden, Grace Spence and Gail Mackay (Ross). Beloved grandmother of Rachel, John, Ryan, Matthew and Amy Belzner; Ginny, Craig and Jeffrey Golden; Ashely Nyberg; Stephanie, Christopher, James, Thomas and Jacob Golden; Darrell Golden, Lena Broughton, Amanda Ventresca (Marco), Eric Spence (Marie), Justin Spence (Etsuko) and Curtis, Phillip and Daniel Mackay and Charlotte Golden. Loving great-grandmother of Brayden Golden, Andrew Golden, Chase Spence, Jordan Broughton, Daniel and Lucas Ventresca, Olivia Spence and Reed Votzler. Also survived by her brother Jim Wells and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Edward and Annabelle Wells, sons David and Teddy Golden, daughter Karen Golden, sons-in-law Eric Spence and John Belzner, grandson-in-law Tom Nyberg, brother Wilbert Billyard and sisters Barbara Hayes and Marian Horton.
Friends are invited to visit at the H. L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Wednesday, December 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and where the funeral service will be held in the Cudney Chapel on Thursday, December 21st at 2 p.m. If desired, donations to the Gideon Bibles would be gratefully appreciated by the family. Mom loved this bible verse…Matthew 18:11 “For the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost”.
