Obituary of Edna A. Meadus (Hodder)
Passed away in the presence of her loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, Edna A. Meadus (Hodder) of Victoria, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents: Gilbert and Lilly Hodder; sister: Marilyn; nephew: Jamie and niece: Rosie. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Dana (Wade) Pitcher, Millbury, Massachusetts, USA and Janiene (David) Risius, San Antonio, Texas, USA; four grandchildren: Alexandra, Kailey, Liam, and Boden; one brother: Dorman (Barb) Chipp, Stephenville; three sisters: Bonnie (Tony) Martin, Grates Cove, Juanita (Peter) Winters, Makkovik, and June (Bill) Brown, South River, ON; nieces: Lisa, Rebecca, Jillian, and Kennedy; nephews: David and Jamie; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Friday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. At Edna’s request, cremation to follow. A celebration of life will take place in the Summer of 2018 at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Grates Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to St. Luke’s Anglican Church, General Delivery, Grates Cove, NL, A0A 2L0 or a charity of one’s choice.
