Obituary for Edmund McSheffrey
Peacefully, on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his parents John and Irene (nee Kealey). Survived by siblings Hilda (Marcel Bruyere), Lorne (Rita Ryan), Lloyd (Evelyn Ryan) and Eileen (late Lou Bessette); predeceased by his sister, Muriel Martin and his brother, Herbert McSheffrey (Agnes McLaughlin). He leaves also behind many nieces and nephews. Edmund was a life time farmer in the Wakefield area. He also worked in the bush as a logger in his early years. Later, Edmund worked at the ski tow at Vorlage. He loved travelling and did a lot of it, trips down East and West and in the U.S. (belonged to the Ottawa Valley Tours). Edmund was an avid snowmobiler and belonged to the local club for many years. We would like to send out a huge and heartfelt thank you to the very caring staff at the Intensive and Palliative Care Units at the Hull Hospital. Friends are invited to visit at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 176 route 105, Wakefield on Friday, May 5th, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Fieldville, QC on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at 11am and a reception will follow at the Heritage Hall in Low, QC.
