Edith Christa Littmann - January 9

LITTMANN, Edith Christa
January 9, 1928 – September 18, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Christa Littmann. With family at her side, she burst into glory to meet Jesus, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She will be forever remembered as mom to five children, grandma or Oma to 16 grandchildren, and Omama to five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, five siblings and her husbands Robert Littmann and Art Gretzinger.
Edith was born on January 9, 1928 in Gross Mellen – East Prussia. She grew up in Germany and emigrated to Edmonton in 1952 . She married Robert Littmann in 1954 and following his passing in 1992, and married Art Gretzinger in 1996.
Edith had the gift of hospitality. She loved having guests and graciously served them. She sacrificed time tirelessly for her family and others, financially for those in need, and volunteered in whatever capacity at church. She loved her church family.
The family would like to thank Foyer Lacombe staff that provided respect and compassionate care to our mother in the last year.
The Memorial Service will be held at Northgate Baptist Church, 12308-95 St. at 11am, September 27, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Northgate Baptist Church.
