Ron (Earle Harold) Ronald passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 after a short stay at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary. Ron was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 18, 1928. Ron truly lived his life like an adventure. Having lived on a farm when he was growing up, he worked hard and loved it. He was a strong man with a strong will. He me Mary, the love of his life, while serving in the army in Kingston, Ontario. He worked as a patrolman and lineman for the Manitoba Hydro, a policeman and lineman for the City of Winnipeg, a lineman for the City of Calgary and Communications Coordinator with the City of Calgary Fire Department. Ron was a member of AA for 50 years. In his retirement, he helped Mary with real estate and together they bred top show dogs under the kennel name Marron Kennels. Ron will be greatly missed by Mary, his loving wife of 65 years; his children Patrick (Virginia), Rhonda (Doran), Darcy (Jim) and Travis; his 9 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Ron is survived by his brothers Lorne and Murray (Florence) and sisters in law Joan Wilson and Alberta Keates. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive SE) on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11:00 am. Graveside service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
