Isomura, Dr Soichi Sept 17,1923 – Aug 22, 2015 Dr. Soi Isomura passed away peacefully in Richmond at the age of 91 on August 22, 2015. He was born in Vancouver. In 1951 he married his sweetheart ,Frances . He completed medical school at McGill in 1955. He was a dedicated family physician who practiced in Point St Charles in Montreal from 1961 to 1971 and then in Richmond, BC from 1971 until 1998. He developed a love for Argentine tango dancing and enjoyed many evenings taking tango lessons and dancing at the Hall. He was an avid reader and had a thirst for knowledge. Soi was predeceased by his parents Fusa and Tsuruo and his two brothers Hideharu and Toshio. He was a beloved husband to his wife Frances, and father to his children; Theresa Isomura (Greg Harrington), Mary Ann Dowd (Lloyd Dowd) and John Isomura . He loved his grandchildren, Kirsten and Akira Dowd, Angela, Naomi, and Megan Harrington. The family would like to thank Dr Stokes, Dr Wong, the nurses and staff at Richmond Hospital 3 North and also Dr Keiss and the staff at St. Paul’s hospital PACH clinic for the compassionate care they provided to Soi. A Celebration of Dr. Soi Isomura’s Life will be held at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, BC on Friday August 28, 2015 at 2:30 pm. Flowers and Koden are gratefully declined, rather a donation to the PACH clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital or The Richmond Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
