Obituary Our dear Jerry loved life, was kind to all and always tried to help others. He graduated in 1968 as a Dr. of Chiropractic and practiced in Edmonton his entire career. Jerry was an intuitive, caring doctor, a true healer, good listener and soft spoken. He had exceptional talents and could fix anything – his passion was cars and engines; and also loved the water and sailing. Jerry’s latest passion was carpentry and he custom built and installed a new kitchen in their home. He was a wonderful husband, an excellent father, a dear friend, and so much more to all in his life. Jerry will be best remembered for his sense of humor, his huge heart and his capacity to love. Jerry is survived by his precious wife Laurie Parkhill; loving children: Steven (Milia), Cara (Ryan Ewasiuk), and Laura (Shaun) Jensen; step son Craig (Christina) Volstad; grandchildren: Cole, Ava, Graeson, Jack, Ben, George, Lyla, Alexandra and Maxine; sisters Wendy Flynn and Joanne Cotter of Spruce Grove; mother and father-in-law Dolores and Don Parkhill; sister-in-law Judy (Bill) Walsh; and Jerry’s precious little buddy Tommy Cat; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jerry was predeceased by his parents George and Florence Cotter. A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton, on Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
