Guerney, Douglas Franklin —
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Douglas Guerney on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 72 years. He was the beloved husband of Lynne Guerney and the loving father of Josh Guerney. Douglas is survived by his loving mother Lydia Donaldson. He was the dear brother of Marilyn Campbell ( the late Donald), Patricia Rayment ( Den), and Dolores Taylor (John). Douglas will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Douglas will be remembered for his strong sense of independance, his love of trains, taking long drives, and for spending time outdoors enjoying nature.
The family will receive their friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. with a celebration of life in the chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
