Gray, Dorothy “Dolly” May – Age 88, of Beaver Bank, it is with great sadness the family announce that Dolly passed away peacefully after a battle with dementia with family by her side, Friday January 6, 2017 at the Admiral Long Term Care, Dartmouth. Born in Kingston, Ontario she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel (Pickering) Carman. Dolly moved from Kingston to settle in Nova Scotia 46 yrs ago. Mom loved the social life, a good game of cards and a better drink of rum! She was a dedicated charter member and past president of the Sackville Lioness Club and member of the Mount Uniacke Legion. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A loving mother to children, Cheryl (Walter) Zwicker, Jim (Amelda) Gray and Debbie (Steve) Emeny; grandchildren, Charles, Tami, Beverley, T.J., Courtney, Holly, Lindsay, Ryan and Kurtis; great grandchildren and their families. Dolly was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 yrs, Tom Gray CD (Sackville Town Crier) and son, Billy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday January 10th at the Mount Uniacke Legion, 18 Veteran’s Lane, Mount Uniacke. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
