On a bright, golden autumn morning she would have loved, Elaine slipped away from us unexpectedly on November 13th in her 89th year. The loss felt by her daughters Susan and Elizabeth (Manuel) is balanced knowing she has been reunited with her beloved husband George, who she has missed dearly over the past seven years. A supreme organizer of events, things and people she lived her life believing that everyone, young women in particular, should be independent, fearless and have a point of view; believe in volunteerism and have empathy for those in need; love fashion, have fun and ignore the number that marks your age.
Our heartfelt thanks are extended to the staff at Tall Pines and the Pine Rose Court Team.
We are indebted to them for their kind and generous care of Mum over the past four years.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South in Brampton on Thursday November 17 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. A Requiem Eucharist will be held at St. Joseph of Nazareth Anglican Church, 290 Balmoral Drive (Brampton) on Friday November 18 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place Saturday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you consider a donation to the Elder Care Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital.
