Donald Silliker
Donald Silliker died suddenly after arriving home on January
26, 2017. He was 65.
Donald Kensil Boyd was born in Moncton to Joseph and Dorothy
Silliker. He lived most of his life in Harrisville,
NB.
As a young boy he loved biking, playing hockey and
snowmobiling. Don held the honour of Queen Scout. After
graduating from HTHS he trained as a machinist with
CN.
Don was working earlier in the day with Carter Bros Utilities
assisting with the power outages in NB. He was employed with the
company for many years. He also enjoyed working many
weekends with Doug Hill. He loved the meals that Mrs. Hill
prepared for the boys. He enjoyed fishing and keeping the
fire going at the camp, and also watching stock car
races.
Don leaves behind many lifelong friends. He is survived by
his sisters, Charlotte of Shediac, with whom he resided, Helga and Dan
Fougere and Heather and Pat Fox all of Upper Coverdale, niece Shannon
and nephew Craig.
There will be no visitation or service. Don was an organ
donor. Please remember Don as you knew him.
Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home
(372-4800).
