Don passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Lillian Reddick and his youngest son Brayden on May 14, 2016, whose death deeply saddened him. Don is survived by the love of his life, Colleen; son Michael; brothers-in-law, Royal and Kent; « favourite » sister-in-law Cathy; nieces, Lindsey, Ashley, Jenny, and Kelsey; as well as other family members. Don was born in Saskatoon, SK and attended Bedford Road Collegiate. He met Colleen while in Saskatoon and in 1986, they moved to Regina to begin their life together. They were blessed with their two sons, Michael, on January 9, 1992 and Brayden, on October 2, 1996. Don was heavily involved in sports throughout his life, especially golfing and he was a huge supporter of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He worked in advertising for a number of years and just recently retired from his nearly two decade career in Commercial Realty. Don loved many things, but none can compare to the love he had for his family and friends. To have Don in your life was to have an amazing friend for life. He was a true and dedicated family man who found joy in spending time on vacations, camping or in the backyard around the pool, surrounded by those he loved. Don will be fondly remembered for his incredibly dry sense of humor and quick wit. He just knew the right thing to say in order to create smiles and laughter in every situation. Family and friends were fondly given nick names and the longer you knew him the more names you had! Don was not easily angered but rather faced every situation in his life with patience, strength, and love. He has left an amazing legacy for all of us to live by. The family wishes to thank the Cardiac Care Unit at the Regina General Hospital for their excellent care. Funeral arrangements are currently pending and details will be made available in a future edition of the Leader-Post. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing, may make a memorial donation in Don’s name, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #26-1738 Quebec Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
