Dominic Ducharme 1938 -2016

Dominic Ducharme November 9, 1938 – July 10, 2016 Mr. Dominic William Ducharme, age 77 years, passed away peacefully in Hogarth-Riverview Manor on Sunday, July 10, 2016. Dominic was born in Raith, Ontario on November 9, 1938 to Lillian and William Ducharme. He worked for many years as a Skidder, first at Pine Falls in Winnipeg and then, Great Lakes Paper until his health forced him to retire. Dominic had a great sense of humour and he loved to joke around and laugh. He enjoyed watching wrestling and boxing as well as going to the casino. Dominic also has a passion for country music, especially Elvis Presley. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Dominic is survived by his brother-in-law, Henry Moreau; nieces Madeline of British Columbia and Yvonne; nephews William of British Columbia and Gary as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was the last surviving member of his family and was predeceased by his parents Lillian and William Ducharme; brother Joe Skinaway and 2 sisters, Rita Ducharme and Alice Manitobenis. Funeral Services for the late Mr. Dominic Ducharme will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11:00AM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. Cremation will follow the service and interment will take place in Mountainview Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 2:00PM until 4:00PM in the Chapel. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Dominic to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
