David L. Lawson of Nackawic, NB passed away peacefully surrounded by
his wife and five children on February 23, 2017 at the Dr. Everett
Chalmers Hospital. David was born on July 28, 1944 in Woodstock, NB,
son of the late Sterling and Beatrice (Cole) Lawson.
David retired from teaching Math at Nackawic High School after 30 plus
years where his professionalism, patience and conscientiousness earned
him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and students alike.
Although David was the strong silent type, his love of music lead him
to perform around the community, solo and with the Miscou Symphony and
most recently the Soggy Mountain Boys. David was always ready to help
family, friends and neighbours and he volunteered at Sts. Simon and
Jude Parish and at the Community Kitchen in Fredericton.

David was predeceased by his brothers, Gerald and Malcolm Lawson.
David’s great faithfulness, dependability and loyalty gives us a
glimpse of the Father’s faithfulness and loyalty to us.

Drive, Nackawic, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic
