David J. Dort
David J. Dort, 73, of Moncton, passed
away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, December 21,
2017.
Born in Canso, NS, he was the son of
the late William and Margaret (Sampson) Dort. David was
retired from CN and attended St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic
Church. His hobbies included playing cards and
travelling.
David will be sadly missed by his
wife, Patricia (Murphy) Dort; daughters, Sheila Smith (Kevin) and
Diana Dort; son, John Dort (Sarah); grandchildren, Myles, Adam, Liam,
Isabela, Matthew and Jakob; great grandchildren, Emma and Zoey
McKenney; sisters, Helen Bobier (Richard) and Peggy Boudreau (John)
and brother, Ernest Dort (Yvonne).
In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by his grandson, Caleb; sisters, Margaret, Betty and
Alice; brother, Lawrence.
A Service to celebrate and honour
David’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel,
1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, December 23, 2017
at 10:00 am, with Rev. Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in
Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
