David Alexander Nason – 1931-2017

David Alexander Nason
1931-2017
It is with a
heavy heart that I announce the passing of my caring and loving
husband, David Alexander Nason who passed on Friday, May 5, 2017 at
the Saint John Regional Hospital.
David is
survived by his loving wife, Shirley M. Nason (Wood); daughter, Brenda
L. Barford (John); son, D. Kent Nason (Teresa) and sister, Dr. Eileen
Cambon; along with his six grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
David worked
as an operator/dispatcher with the CPR for 30 years. He had
fond memories and always appreciated the help given to him by his
former railroad buddies. An avid reader, David always
dreamed of becoming an author. Coming from a railroad
tradition, he accomplished that dream when his award winning book
« Railways of New Brunswick » was
published.
David had a
passion for the sea and sailing and spent many wonderful days sailing
on the St. John River and Bay of Fundy.
He was
predeceased by his parents, Wallace and Eulah Nason; brother, John and
sister, Margaret.
The family
wishes to thank. Dr. England and the caring nursing staff on 4BSouth
at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the excellent care that was
provided to him.
As per
David’s request, no visitation or funeral service will take
place. Interment will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home,
1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John
(634-7425).
For those who
wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of
NB.
