SWINAMER, Dana William
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dana, age 62 of Falmouth, Hants Co., after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Born in Windsor, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Roy and Joan (Bawdick) Swinamer.
Dana was an avid wrestling fan and loved hunting and fishing. Some of his happiest times were spent at the hunting camp with Mark.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his family. He is survived by his common-law wife, Bonnie; sons, John (Addy) and Scott; daughters, Ashley (Troy) Carson and Natasha Chambers (Greg Burgess); five grandsons and four granddaughters; sisters, Ann (Fred) Pickrem, Maxine (John) McLeod, Lynn (Mark) Jessop, Louise (Ron) Nicholson and Sally (Joe) Majcan; brothers, David (Linda), Paul (Wanita) and Terry (Heather); many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; extended family, Paul and Lynn Caldwell, Pam, Clay and Wendell and his special I.T.S. Family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Brian.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS BON 2TO (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 23. A funeral service celebrating Dana’s life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Banfield Parsons officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment will take place in Ste. Croix Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations in memory of Dana may be made to Hants Community Hospital, Palliative Care, 89 Payzant Drive, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
