Dale Fowke
Dale Fowke passed away at Cypress Regional Hospital on Dec. 22nd, 2017, at the age of 80. Dale was born in Swift Current Union Hospital on Jan 23rd, 1937. He attended school in Neville. He started working for Sask Power in 1957 and worked on construction, building substations. He moved to many different locations in Saskatchewan during his 9 years with the company.
He met the love of his life, Henriette Schiissler, at a dance in Vanguard. They were later married and had 3 children. Dale returned to the Neville farm in 1967 and farmed for many years.
He was on the Sask. Wheat Pool committee, Neville Town Council and Neville Credit Union Board.
Some of his interests included golfing, curling, fishing and he was a very good handyman.
He was a quiet, gentle and caring man. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
Dale is survived by his family, wife Henriette (nee Schiissler); son Kim (wife Laurie), daugher Kathy (husband Gary), daughter Lynn (husband Ronnie); 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, mother-in-law Katherine Schiissler and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Florence Fowke (Timmons), sister Elaine McAllister and father-in-law Joseph Schiissler.
The funeral mass was held on Dec. 27th at 2:00 p.m. at Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Reymundo Asis officiating. Special music was provided by daughter Kathy Franks, Lynn Tessier and granddaughters Dana Johnston and Stephanie Tessier. The Eulogy was read by Brant Franks and readings by Lindsay Fowke and Dana Johnston. The gifts were brought up by Kurtis and Coby Franks. The Ushers were Reg Hornung and Keith Carlton. Active pallbearers included the 6 grandchildren.
The interment service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Society of Saskatchewan. Warren’s Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
