Cynthia Isobel Mary Wilson
Cynthia Isobel Mary Wilson, 65, of Steeves Mountain, passed
away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, September 21, 2017,
following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Cox’s Cove, NL, she was the daughter of the
late Fred and Prescilla (Parsons) Park. Cynthia was a loving wife,
mother and grandmother. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time
with her family. listening to music and her time by the ocean, playing
with her grandchildren. Cynthia’s passion for the past
eleven years, was taking care of the elderly residents at ProTem
Nursing Home in Moncton. Her family will always remember her loving
heart and her strength.
Cynthia will be sadly missed by her husband of 46 years, Ray
Wilson; children, Ray Wilson of Moncton and Wendy Davis (Dave) of
Dieppe; cherished grandchildren, Logan and Layla Davis; brothers,
James (Mamie) of Corner Brook, NL, Melvin of Meadows, NL, Roland
(Daisy) and Freeman (Nola), both of Cox’s Cove, Dougal
(Doreen) of Meadows and Hollis (Debbie) of Springhill, NS;
sister-in-law, Millicent Park of Corner Brook as well as a large
circle of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her brother, Cecil; sister-in-law, Winnie and
half-sister, Millie.
In honouring Cynthia’s wishes, there will be no
visitation hours or formal funeral service. A Celebration of
Cynthia’s life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017
from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the family home, 29 Carroll Road, Steeves
Mountain. Interment will be held in Steeves Mountain Cemetery at a
later date.
