Corinne A. Whitehead nee. Kennedy Our dearly loved Mom passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 after a very brief illness. Mom was born April 7, 1920 and we had all been looking forward to celebrating her upcoming 96th birthday. Mom was born in Toronto, the eldest of 13. She met the love of her life Harry Whitehead (deceased 1992) when they were both 14. They married at age 21 and from their long and happy union came 5 children: Diane (Roy Hillman), Laurie (Jim Grady), Ron (Bonny), Bob (Carol, deceased) and Don (Thomasina) . They were later blessed with 15 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren, who will miss their beloved GG. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 21 Garrard Rd. (905-443-3376), and on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 10 – 11 a.m. with the Funeral Service to commence in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment at Groveside Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Mom can be made to the Alzheimer Society or The Salvation Army. Memories can be shared at www.mountlawn.ca
