Davis, Clarence “Buster” Munroe – Age 88, of South Rawdon, formerly of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully Wednesday December 21, 2016 at Dykeland Lodge Windsor. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Clarence and Irene (Dauphinee) Davis. Clarence began work as a plumber and later worked as a landscaper and land developer. His hobbies mostly consisted of working he also enjoyed, hunting and fishing at the camp in Cape Breton with the boys. He was an avid bowler. He played hockey for the Sackville Acadians as a defenseman. He was involved in harness racing owning such horses as, Second Look, Ranger Bill and Helen’s Memory and many more. He will be fondly remembered by all those who knew him. Clarence is survived by children, Danny (Pam), Sam (Margie), Irene MacKinnon (Brian), Darrell, Joan Davis (Lenny), Jim (Tina), Debbie Davis, Harvey (Valarie); 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister, Pat (George) Amarandos; brothers, Roy, Lorne (Phyllis), Vernon (Diana); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Clarence was predeceased by wife, Edith Helen (Messervey); daughter, Joy (Jim) Boutilier; sisters, Gloria Brown, Hilda Baker, Audrey Mephen, Lois Rockwell; brothers, Leonard and Owen. Visitation will be held from 3-5 & 7-9pm Thursday December 22nd in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville where a funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday December 23rd . Rev. James Haughn officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Brookside Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of Dykeland Lodge, Windsor and Dr. Davies, for their special care given to dad. A special thank you to Candie, Sandy and Cheryl for their love, support and for making dad smile. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
