Claire Mollot 20 mai 1980 – 9 novembre 2016

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Claire on November 9th 2016 at the age of 36 years, just days after the passing of her loving Mom. She was the cherished youngest daughter of Martin and Judy (predeceased) Mollot. Dearest sister of Nicole Mollot (James King) and Kim Mollot (Ryan Van Nest). Loving aunt of Owen, Madeleine, Benjamin and Sebastien. Treasured granddaughter of Jeanette “Gran” Huisman (née Laskey) and Casey Huisman, predeceased by her grandfather Norman Kranz, her grand-mère Blanche Mollot (née Arnal) and her grand-père Jean-Baptiste Mollot. Claire will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends she has met throughout her life and at The Village of Sandalwood Park.
Claire has touched the lives of many and has often been said to be the ray of sunshine that brightens everyone’s day. She had a contagious smile and years ago would let out the best belly laughs, ones which we have not had the pleasure of hearing for some time now. In life, Claire was an incredible teacher and fighter. She taught us compassion, patience, kindness, understanding and acceptance. She fought hard to overcome so many obstacles in her life, demonstrating remarkable inner strength and extraordinary courage. She was an inspiration to many. Claire is now eternally free from all of those obstacles and is likely embracing this freedom surrounded by others who have loved her so deeply, especially our Mom. Together these tenacious women can dance without limits or discomfort and sing like nobody’s listening.
Claire was loved by all and will be equally missed by so many. Family and friends will be received at Scott Funeral Home ‘Brampton’, (289 Main Street North) on Sunday, November 20th from 1 pm to 3 pm when a Celebration of Claire’s life will be held in the Scott Funeral Home Chapel commencing at 3 pm. Private cremation has taken place. Claire’s ashes will be laid to rest with her Mom’s at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations to The Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy (OFCP), The Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) or Erin Oak Kids In My Dreams Capital campaign would be appreciated by the family.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratefulness and acknowledgement to all family and friends who have offered their unconditional support during all facets of her life, as well as to all of the staff from the Village of Sandalwood Park who loved and cared for her during the past 14 years. Words of comfort, shared stories or photos may be left for the family in Claire’s online guest book
