Obituary of Christine Loci
~~It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Christine (Christel) Loci. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday August 9, 2017, in her 93rd year of life. Christine leaves behind her loving family, Paul Loci husband of 67 years, devoted daughters Rosemarie Loci and Ingrid (Bruce) Carter and loving grandchildren Julie and Jeremy Carter.
Christine was predeceased by her parents John and Rosina (Welker) Helfinger and brothers Joseph (Lilly) Helfinger, Rudy (Dorothy) Helfinger, and sisters Alma Helfinger and Frieda (Frank) Klassen.
Christine took great pleasure in taking care of her family. She was a skilled homemaker, cook and baker who was happiest at providing wonderful meals for her family to enjoy. She also had a green thumb growing fruits, vegetables and flowers in her garden and African violets in the house. She had a good sense of humour and she remained positive even after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Christine passed away peacefully with family by her side, singing and praying for her.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Christine with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday August 13, 2017 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with the funeral service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. A reception will be held in the Kuntz House immediately following the service. A private family interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
