HILTZ Charles Robert, Passed peacefully after a brave battle against leukemia, with his daughter by his side on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in his 82nd year. Chuck, beloved husband of Ruby of 60 years. Devoted dad of Dana (Ron). He will be lovingly remembered by his four grand-daughters, two great grandsons, many nieces and nephews. Chuck was with the Durham Regional Police Force for 35 years working in schools and going to camp Samac with the patrollers. Chuck was retired for almost 30 years (wow) which he enjoyed immensely. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 187. He loved hunting/fishin, jamborees, golfing, pickin and a grinnin wearing his funny outfits, hockey (watching, playing and coaching). Lover of Bluegrass, beer and banjos, not necessarily in that order. Most of all he loved being with friends and family and always having a good time. Family and friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 905-443-3376 on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 1 pm until the time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:30 pm.
